Jail term for rape claim murderer
A murderer who stabbed a young man to death in Aberdeen then claimed his victim had tried to rape him has been jailed for life.
Deryck Kerr, 20, was ordered to serve a minimum of 15 years in prison after the judge Lord Menzies said he had shown "particular cruelty and ghastliness".
Kerr was convicted of murdering Grant Williamson, 27, in an Aberdeen flat in January this year.
Relatives said the victim was the nicest man anyone could ever meet.
